Another beautiful day in southeastern PA. We are enjoying cool mornings and evenings. Mid days have been sunny and breezy. It's delightful! The birds around our house seem to be as excited about the weather as I am. We both endured a VERY cold winter.
I've spent the last few days creating patterns from existing artwork. This art is from my "Winged Garden" collection. One of my favorite stationery companies, Current, Inc, used this collection to create a lovely notecard set.
If you have always wanted to learn how to create repeating patterns, you are in luck! Jessica Swift has just opened registration for her Pattern Camp.
From Jessica's blog... Pattern Camp is a virtual, online 2-day, weekend-long pattern design workshop taught by full-time artist and surface pattern designer, Jessica Swift. Participants will leave the workshop with the confidence and skills to create their own beautiful repeat patterns using both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. It’s pattern design boot camp! (Except fun, and no one will yell at you, promise.)
I do most of my repeat work in Photoshop. Jessica introduced me to a whole new pattern creation tool. During this intense (fun) two-day camp, I learned what Adobe Illustrator has to offer and have been able to incorporate many of these new techniques into my repeat creation routine.
